Calling all Electrical Design Engineers who can travel to Barrow-in-Furness at least a few times per fortnight - please apply below if you would like to work on some of the worlds most exciting projects for a global leader in Defence.
The Role
- Using the CAD toolset to produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and electrical equipment integration e.g. switchboards and power units etc.
- Mature and develop 2D electrical schematics / system diagrams
- Producing outputs (including 2D drawings and electronic data) to support manufacturing, installation and testing of our products
- Developing and maintaining close working relationships with other design teams and stakeholders
- Working as a team to produce an integrated design that meets the customer's expectations and agreed set of requirements
Experience
- Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification or previous experience as an Electrical Designer / Draughtsperson e.g. HNC, ONC or degree qualification in relevant STEM subject or equivalent work experience
- Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component / assembly level
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level
- Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques
